The Tree never dies in the world

It is well known that some trees live for a very, very long time. Have you not heard about the walking mango tree of Gujarat? Its branch produces fresh roots and when the old tree dries up, a new one, developed from this branch, takes its place.
Unlike animals, a tree goes on growing, both at the top as well as at the roots. Death can happen only when growth ends. What happens, in practice, is premature death, on account of a variety of causes like uprooting by storms, attack by fungi and above all, by greedy Man!When the tree becomes too tall, the trunk develops fatigue. If by a conscious effort, we try to prop up a tree and ensure supply of water, it is my belief that the tree will not die. Some institution may take up this project.

Animals are controlled by the head. Trees are managed by the roots. Hence such usages as 'root out', because, from experience we find that, as long as the roots remain dormant and alive, shoots will sprout when opportunities come.
In winter, trees in cold climate shed leaves. Who gives the command? Apparently, the roots. The tree makes use of its dead tissues, by injecting oil and preserving them for use as a support! How intelligent! Many botanists think that the oil, produced by all trees (sandalwood oil, turpentine etc. It is oil that makes fresh mango tree branches burn the dead body) is just a waste product
